Madison Westin is back!! The Florida Keys are hotter than ever.

With Madison's never-say-no style she's smarter and packing an attitude not to mention her Glock.

This time, trouble rolls into Tarpon Cove in the form of Madison's ex-husband, Jackson Devereaux, whom she hoped to never see again. His arrival brings unparalleled chaos and an uninvited corpse.

Teaming up with her hot friend, Fabiana, the two women go from chasing the usual cast of misfits and weirdos to hunting down a murderer. The action turns deadly serious when they stir up a nasty enemy as they try to stay one-step ahead in a game of cat and mouse that threatens their lives.

Deception in Paradise, a Florida Keys mystery, is the second novel in Deborah Brown's Paradise series, can be read as a stand alone book.

Review:

Deborah Brown has another hit on her hands.  I loved the first book in this series, and was lucky enough to get to read and review this one, too. Madison is a little quirky, along with her friends, which I love.  The character are believable, and so much fun.  They will have you cheering for them.  I love that Madison and the other women are strong and dependable.  They can depend on each other, and they are not afraid of anything.

The setting will make you want to move to Florida, well at least to Madison's neighborhood.  Other parts of the city are kind of seedy.  I love that I can really picture everything in the book.  This is the perfect book for the beach.  I mean really, what is better than a book that takes place near the beach to read at the beach.

I can't wait to see what is next for Madison.  I am loving this series with all of these wonderful, quirky characters.  Even though this book is part of a series, this book can be read as a stand alone book.  You will be able to understand everything that happens in the book, and when it does refer to something in the previous book, it gives you all of the information you need.

I give this book 4 1/2 stars.  This book is for mature audiences.  There are some adult situations that are not appropriate for all audiences.  I strongly recommend that you read this book and series.

About the Author
The Paradise series, are Florida Keys mysteries, "great as stand-alone reads, but they're like chips...you won't be able to devour just one!"

I've been writing, in one way or another for as long as I can remember; writing poetry, short stories, a romance novel secretly stashed under the bed and sappy love letters. Fiction should be fun. I wanted to create the perfect beach book, to make the reader laugh, cry and cheer... and then run out and tell their friends about it.

My love of reading began when I was seven, the day I opened the cover of my first Mrs. Piggle Wiggle book. Mrs. P gave lessons to other children in how to behave and to me I learned to love the written word. I live with my family and demon children aka rescue cats in South Florida.
