Stage to Screen Acting Workshop/Chekhov to Tarantino
NYU
Professor Caroline McGee is seeking participants for a professional
acting workshop "Stage to Screen” that explores character and action
through the study of script analysis and the range of choices and
adjustments for theatre & camera technique. Scripts will include
Chekhov, Tennessee Williams, and Sam Shepard, plus film scenes from
'True Romance,' 'Pulp Fiction,' 'Closer,' and others.
Caroline’s
training was completed at the National Conservatory in Strasbourg, FR
(CODOFIL), Yale School of Drama, UC Berkeley and in NYC, Stella Adler,
Robert Lewis, Wynn Handman, William Esper, and Michael Howard. Teaching
experience includes NYU Tisch School for the Arts, Pace and Catholic U.,
NY Conservatory for Dramatic Art and, currently, NY Film Academy.
All ages and experience are welcome.
$200 fee includes classes late afternoon/early evening/time tba: June 18-21.
