Book #1 The Remingtons, Love in Bloom Series #10

Five sexy, loyal, family oriented siblings
each in search of their forever love

THE REMINGTONS are the newest addition to the LOVE IN BLOOM series by New York Times & USA Today bestselling and award-winning author Melissa Foster. This 5-book steamy contemporary romance series features alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They're flawed, funny, passionate, and very relatable to readers who enjoy new adult romance, contemporary romance, and women's fiction.

Ellie Parker is a master at building walls around her heart. In the twenty-five years she’s been alive, Dex Remington has been the only person who has always believed in her and been there for her. But four years earlier she came to Dex seeking comfort, and then disappeared like a thief in the night, leaving him a broken man.

Dex Remington is one of the top PC game developers in the U.S. He’s handsome, smart, and numb. So damn numb that he’s not sure he’ll ever find a reason to feel again.

A chance encounter sparks intense desires in Ellie and Dex. Desires that make her want to run—and make him want to feel. A combination of lust and fear leads these young lovers down a dangerous path. Is it possible to cross a burned bridge or are they destined to be apart forever?

GAME OF LOVE is part of the Love in Bloom series.

Review:

How does one get past the insecurities and trust issues of being shuffled between foster homes?  Melissa Foster does a wonderful job of showing how Ellie tries to overcome the trust issues of growing up in the foster care system.  Foster children have their own culture and so many obstacles to overcome.  I really love the way Melissa Foster deals with these issues.  She is a wonderful writer that has amazing insight.  She could've been a psychologist or social worker.  There is such an emotional component/connection with all of her characters.

While I loved this book (and series), I found it a little forced or contrived when Josh and Riley (from the Braden part of the series) are brought in to two scenes in the book.  It just seemed a little unnecessary.  She could've just used any random couple.  Of course, that is such a small, maybe even petty, observation.  It's like I'm forcing myself to find something wrong.  I guess because I feel like people will think I'm phony because I never have anything bad to say about Melissa Foster's writing.

I love everything I've read by Melissa Foster.  I know I've said this before but you can really connect with her characters.  If you are like me, you become emotionally connected with her characters.  Also, I love that there is always something to learn in her books, some life lesson.

While this is part of a series, this book can be read as a stand alone book.  Of course, I'm a little biased because I love this series and think you should read them all.  This book is only for mature audiences, because it does have adult situations.  I give this book another 5 star rating.
