Not long ago, my Kindle broke and I had to get a new one.  I am addicted to my Kindle and reading, so, really could not deal with not having one anymore.  Besides, most of the books that I get to review are ebooks, and the idea of reading the books on my computer was not very appealing.  Anyway, I decided to get a Kindle Fire, which meant I needed a new case, too.  I certainly did not want to take the chance of dropping my new Kindle Fire and breaking it.  Luckily, I was contacted about reviewing a case of my choosing from Gumdrop.  I jumped at the chance.

I chose the blue Drop Tech Case.  I loved the color but really did not know much else about the case.  When I received my case, I was a little hesitant because the Kindle Fire has a touch screen and this case has a clear plastic cover for the touch screen.  I was worried that the touch screen would not work very well with this screen protector over it.  Well, I should not have worried.  I did not notice any difference at all.  It worked great with the case on it.

I love the rubberized case.  I already know firsthand that it does a great job of protecting my Kindle Fire, since I've dropped it a couple of times.  Oops.  My Kindle Fire was totally protected.  No problems at all!!  I definitely needed this case.  I mean my Kindle goes with me everywhere, and has taken quite the beating, not only with the couple of times I've dropped it but also in my purse.

The case really does hug my Kindle Fire like a glove.  The rubberized, blue part of the case is very flexible as you pull it over the Kindle Fire, and clips into place on to the clear screen protector.  There is a little flap that opens up to allow you to access the power button, and to charge your Kindle Fire.

The only thing that would make this case better would be if it was a waterproof case.  I don't think my Kindle Fire would be safe if I dropped it in the bathtub.  I will just have to keep my Kindle Fire out of the tub, I guess.  To their credit, though, I have not seen a waterproof case anywhere.  Besides, if there was a waterproof case, I'm sure it would cost an arm and a leg.

Speaking of price, this case is worth every penny.  I went to the store, and looked at many other cases and checked prices online.  Gumdrop cases cost about the same if not cheaper than other cases.  My particular case costs $49.95.

Even if you do not have a Kindle Fire, you need to check out the Gumdrop website.  They have cases for all kinds of tablets and phones.  If these cases are anything like mine, they are great, and you will love them.

I give the Gumdrop Kindle Fire Blue Drop Tech Case 5 out of 5 stars.  I really can not say enough good things about Gumdrop, and my case.  The company is great to work with, and I absolutely love my case.
