As most of you know, I am a part of the Chicken Soup for the Soul network. So, every time a new Chicken Soup for the Soul book is published I get to review it. I am sure that almost everyone knows about the Chicken Soup for the Soul books. However, for those that don't know, Chicken Soup for the Soul books are short stories sent in by real people about their own lives and experiences or sometimes about the lives and experiences of close friends or relatives. These books are at the top of the best sellers lists.

Chicken Soup for the Soul: Reader’s Choice: The Chicken Soup for the Soul Stories that Changed Your Lives by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, and Amy Newmark is a collection of favorite stories, ones that have had a profound affect on readers. You know those stories that touch your heart, and make you change your life and/or outlook on life. These stories are such a gift, a blessing that they need to be shared over and over again.

There are so many stories that will make you smile and possibly bring a tear to your eye. I know these stories do that to me. They are the perfect pick me up when you are feeling down. It’s amazing the things people overcome and conquer.

Of course, I am a little partial to the poem about aging, “Mushy Face is no Disgrace” by Robert Tell. He definitely hit the nail on the head. I may not be old old, but it still surprises me sometimes when I look into the mirror. I think we all see ourselves like we were when we were younger. Well, that is until we look in a mirror.

Here is a look at the chapters you will find in this book:
1. Epiphanies
2. Attitude Adjustments
3. Great Advice
4. Motivation
5. Doing Good
6. Amazing Connections

I love Chicken Soup for the Soul books because you can pick and choose stories as you want. If you only have time to read for a few minutes, this could be your perfect choice for a book. For example, you can read 1 or a couple of stories when you are waiting at the doctor’s office.

You don’t have to read this from cover to cover. You don’t have to be a big reader to enjoy this book or any other Chicken Soup for the Soul book.

I highly recommend this book, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Reader’s Choice: The Chicken Soup for the Soul Stories that Changed Your Lives. These make great gifts, especially for those hard to buy for people.

If you aren’t ready to purchase a copy or you would like another copy for someone else, you can try to win one. Check out my post where I am giving away 3 copies of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Reader’s Choice: The Chicken Soup for the Soul Stories that Changed Your Lives.
